Liam Channon and Srinidhi Madhu represented themselves and our Academy brilliantly this weekend in the 10&U Grade 2 National Tour Events.

Liam played in Nottingham, winning 4/5 of his matches. His quarter final versus the eventual winner, Oliver Page, from Wales, was an absolute epic, Liam eventually just coming up short, losing 10-8 in the final set tie break after 2 hours. The second and third set of the match was watched by a packed viewing gallery with nearly 40 players, parents, coaches and officials gripped by the exceptional level of tennis for 2 10 year olds.

Liam bounced back brilliantly to win both his matches on the 2nd day to finish 5th nationally. His record at National Level is 8/10 wins this season and he'll be straight back on court on Monday ready to improve!

Srinidhi played in Sunderland and managed to keep her great form going with 3 wins out of 5. Srinidhi has worked really hard on some specific areas of her game since the last Grade 2 and it showed in her matchplay. She also showed great character to bounce back from day 1 and finish with 2 wins out of 2 on Sunday.

The whole Academy is proud of their achievements and we all look forward to getting back on court with them this week.
